When it comes to topics we can write about virtually anything and we have delivered amazing results for our clients. However there are levels of expertise needed that are beyond me or my team in some areas. For example, I do not know enough about quantum mechanics to write an original research paper on it.
We Are Usually Asked About
How do you create the right tone in a piece of copy?
Your draft copy will be sent to you once it is completed. This will be in a live Google Doc that you can comment on and edit directly. I will be able to respond to your comments, reviews and suggestions. From there the copy will be edited so it is how you want it.
How long does copywriting take?
This really depends on the scope of work and what the schedule looks like at the time. When it comes to email marketing, we would typically send them on a weekly basis and this can depend on how many emails we are writing for you each week. Website copy usually takes a little bit longer, particularly if we are working on a full website rather than just a few pages. Sales pages are normally written up within 7-14 days depending on the type of product you are selling.
If time is a factor, I always recommend contacting me before ordering online to check current delivery times. Work will be included in the schedule on a first come, first served basis. If I have a lot of other projects, it may take longer to get to you.
Another factor that affects turnaround time is the amount of research required for what I’m working on. If more in-depth research and/or technical research is necessary to learn about the topic, it will take a little longer.
No matter what the circumstances are, you will always get notified on how long it will take to complete the copy.
What if I don’t like the copy?
You will be sent a draft of your copy as soon as I have completed it. This will be in a live Google Doc that you can directly comment on and edit. I will be able to see and reply to your comments, check and suggestions you’ve made, and rework the copy so it is as you want it.
Most of the time, edits and revisions are within what you paid for. As long as you phrase your comments clearly and don’t constantly change your mind, the editing process is very simple and straightforward. Clients often make a series of adjustments or comments and changes and find that they are happy with the results. Otherwise, the second round of editing occurs.
However there will not be unlimited edits, this means that you need to consider what you request for in your edits. We will be more than happy to make one or two edits even three to get the copy to your liking.
I want to point out that editing and re-writing are both completely different and actions taken will be different. Once I have started / completed a draft and you want to make some adjustments and changes then I will be happy to make changes for free. If on the other hand you want me to write up the copy again from scratch because you have changed your mind or you forgot to tell me something, then you will be charged for a fresh piece of content.
How do I brief you on my project?
In whatever way you would prefer that is most convenient for you and least stressful for you. If you are local to me I will happily do it in person. If not either from a video conference or or phone call.
In my experience with past and current clients, people brief me on their projects in very different ways. Some people are very detailed in their wants, others don’t want to even think about it and just want it handled. Then there are also those who have a rough idea of what they want and need me to direct them towards a specific idea or subject needed to achieve their goal.
You can be as vague, specific, or not involved in the process as you like. You can use the method most convenient for you to send the necessary information.
I may have questions to clarify certain things, but again, how you answer them is up to you. I want to make my services as easy as possible for my clients. So tell us how you want it and we’ll take care of it.
